About

Hey there,

as life continues all the time and makes us drift towards new adventures but also drift away from previous places, I sometimes find it hard to keep track of myself and others.

After growing up in Lohmar and Siegburg, I have lived for 6 years in Bonn to study physics, and since 2011 in Jülich and Aachen, where I’ve been working on my PhD at the research centre Jülich, which has now come to its end. Following those rather small relocations, my next stop will be in Austria close to Salzburg, where I’ll start with my new job as an international application engineer in the automation industry. Even though research in science was interesting and I had a lot of fun with my colleagues, I am very much looking forward to this new task. I like the idea of finally being productive in an applicable way to society.

My further plan is to move to China by some time next year, and work there for a period of a few years.

In this blog I will occasionally share things about life and stuff so that keeping track may be easier. I’ll post about places, food, ideas, and experiences. At first there may be some posts about past events, while later on I’ll try posting more instantaneously.

I’ll be happy when some of you have a look here from time to time, and even happier about comments.

Cheers
Dariusch
